The extension
Private Downloader collects no personal data. It runs entirely in your browser. It does not create accounts, send telemetry or crash reports, contact any server operated by us, or use any third-party service. Network requests go only to the website you are watching and its media servers, and only to save the video you chose.
The extension stores, in your browser's extension storage on your device: a license key if you enter one, a count of free stream downloads used, and your last quality, output, and subtitle choices. None of this leaves your device. Removing the extension deletes all of it. While a stream is being assembled, its temporary file lives in the extension's private storage on your device and is deleted when the download completes.
The popup shows a small still of each detected player, drawn locally from the video element on the page. No image is ever requested from a site for this purpose, and stills are never stored or included in reports.
Diagnostic reports are generated on your device only when you click Copy privacy-safe report. They contain fixed labels and counts: no page addresses, titles, tokens, cookies, license keys, or images. They are placed on your clipboard for you to read, share, or discard.
This website
This site is static and sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard, short-lived server logs for security and operation of the service under its own privacy policy.
Purchases
License keys are sold by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, taxes, and receipts under its own privacy policy. When you claim your key, the email address you bought with is used once to look up your order and is not stored by us. We receive from Lemon Squeezy only what is needed to fulfil the order and handle support, and we never link it to extension usage, which is never reported.
