A Firefox extension that finds the video on the page, including HLS and DASH streams, and saves it as one MP4 file. Everything runs in your browser. There is no account, no server, and nothing is ever uploaded.
Built to keep to itself
No account, no server
The extension never talks to us. Not to detect videos, not to save them, not to check a license. The unlock key is verified on your own device with a public key built into the extension.
Only your data, on your disk
Video is requested only from the site you are watching, with the cookies your browser already sends it. Private windows and containers keep their own identity.
Nothing to report
No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reports. If something fails, the popup offers a privacy-safe report you can read before you choose to send it to support.
Never a workaround
It refuses DRM and sample-level encryption and never bypasses a login or paywall. It saves what your browser can already play.
How it works
- Start the video. The toolbar badge shows how many videos the extension can see on the page.
- Click the toolbar button, or right-click the video and choose Download this video. Pick quality, audio language, subtitles, or audio-only if you like.
- Direct files go straight to your Downloads folder. Streams are assembled on your disk in a progress tab and saved as one MP4, with a Show in folder button when they finish.
What it handles
Files
MP4, WebM, MOV, M4V, and Ogg videos, including opaque or signed URLs, in the page or in embedded players.
HLS streams
Transport-stream and fragmented-MP4 segments, separate audio tracks, AES-128 encrypted segments, discontinuities, and live streams recorded until you press Stop.
DASH streams
Static manifests with separate video and audio, merged into one file without re-encoding.
Extras
Subtitles and closed captions saved as a .vtt beside the video, audio-only M4A output, batch downloads with three streams at once, rename before saving, a paste-a-link box, a local history, no file size limit beyond your disk.
Record playback
When a player hides its source, the extension can record what the player loads as it plays, from the start, without re-encoding. DRM stays off limits.
Not supported: DRM-protected streams and YouTube, which is refused by policy on every browser.
